this dish is comfort. its delicious warm and full flavoured and i love to cook it. if you taste often as you cook it is really easy to develop a beautifully balanced flavour.

this was a bit of an experiment. what i was going for was a nice heavy yeasty flavoured bread. this bread is fantastic hot out of the oven with salty butter, with soup, or toasted in thick slices with some lovely poached eggs.

fresh mint tea is something i discovered in the netherlands. its a super simple idea, loads of fresh mint stuffed into a glass of hot water. some like it just like that but some (including myself) like it with honey as i find it brings out the flavour. mint is great for digestion and settling the tummy, perfect for after a meal.


chili is an old favorite dish i like to make from time to time. its a very grounding dish and super tasty, especially when complimented with this deliciously simple coriander creme fraiche.
